Post Chinese Airsoft
Hi

I dont know if any of you knew anything about this but I recently emailed a site in HK about JG guns and I received the following response

"The JG factory closed since Sept las year:((It is a sad news....the Chinese government have put a ban on airsoft guns:((The AGM and the Kart owner were arrested by the Chinese government , so the other owners have closed their factories and waiting for a safe time to re-open the factories."

Doesn't look to good atm for those that dont like paying the high prices for guns such as TM

Seems like alot of the cheaper guns ie. classic army sportline are out of stock everywhere, bloody typical as I have my eye on one for my first Gat.

Still to expensive even to buy guns from those sites i think £250 is a stupid price to pay.

We'll just have to wait and see what happens

The price of the clones has crept up over the last 6 months - was going up before this problem sprang up.

The real pity is that the Chinese factory's were making a good variety of stuff, some of it was getting pretty damn good as well! Its a real blow for ww2 gamers - TM and a few others seem happy making M4 after M4 with no real variety whilst A&K gave support guns to the masses, AGM were doing some good period AEGs (MP40, MP44, Sten & a Bren gun was not far away) while CYMA, JG, etc. gave people the chance to have a collection. Many of the models they made the big brands had either stopped making or could not be bothered to make.

I started with a cheapsoft china AEG and then bought several more, I always liked having a choice. The quality was not that great but it got better, and maybe they made the branded factory's up their game to prove they were worth the extra?

Either way, I have also had a couple from the more expensive AEG's 250-400 price range and I know I am glad I have because the finish and feel is a lot better.

In short, if the china guns come back great - they add a good variety and affordability to a lot of guns, if not we just have to buy fewer, more expensive AEG's - you won't be sorry you did though (your missus and bank account might argue with that one though! :) ).

I just keep quiet how much I spend :D

And another thing to be mindful of (which ties in with what Ian said) is beware of the man/woman with just one gun... he/she probably knows how to use it ;) unless that person's me of course...
